Fairfax Blvd., 9400 block, 7:45 p.m. June 19. Two blank checks were stolen from a residence, and one was cashed.

Fairfax Blvd., 9500 block, 7:30 p.m. June 16. An iPhone, left at a restaurant, was stolen.

Fairfax Blvd., 11200 block, 10:40 a.m. June 18. A woman concealed merchandise at a grocery store and attempted to leave. A 46-year-old Annandale woman was charged with concealment of merchandise.

Jermantown Rd., 4000 block, 7:30 p.m. June 16. A man in a store was observed crouching and placing clothing into a backpack. A 30-year-old Fairfax man was charged with petty larceny.

Lamarre Dr., 4100 block, June 12 to June 18. Medicine was stolen from a residence.

Main St., 9600 block, 12:07 p.m. June 15. A manager in a store stopped two males seen concealing merchandise in backpacks. The items were taken from the backpacks, and the males left on a moped.

Main St., 9600 block, 7:44 p.m. June 16. A grocery store employee was seen throughout the day taking merchandise from the store and putting it into a car. The store manager confronted the employee, and the employee got into the car and attempted to leave. The manager attempted to open a car door and was cut. The employee drove away.

Maple St., 4010 block, 6:08 p.m. June 17. A vehicle’s front bumper and a license plate were stolen.

Old Lee Hwy., 3700 block, June 10. A person reported that a credit card had been opened using a business’s name and it had been used several times. An investigation led to the arrest of a 30-year-old Vienna woman, who was charged with felony embezzlement.

Stratford Ave., 10000 block, 12:22 p.m. June 18. A male intruder was seen leaving a residence in a Ford pickup. Nothing was reported stolen.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Fairfax Blvd., 10300 block, June 9. A 2000 BMW 740iL was stolen from a restaurant parking lot.

Fairfax Blvd., 10900 block, June 15. A 2012 Hyundai Elantra was stolen after it was left at an auto dealership for maintenance.

Fairfax Sq., 9900 block, 3 a.m. June 13. A woman stole an acquaintance’s 2004 Ford Explorer. On June 16, California Highway Patrol stopped the driver of the vehicle and arrested a 39-year-old Fairfax woman.

VANDALISM

Chain Bridge Rd., 4000 block, 1 to 2 a.m. June 16. Two electric lanterns attached to a building were smashed with a brick, and a fence and two windows were damaged.

Fairfax Blvd., 9500 block, 2:29 a.m. June 26. A female reportedly scratched a male acquaintance’s car with a key. When he confronted her, the female’s boyfriend pushed him several times. The incident was under investigation.

Jean St. and Dale Dr., 9:33 a.m. June 14. Graffiti were spray-painted on a bridge railing.

Main St., 10400 block, June 15 to June 16. A pot and a small tree in front of a business were damaged.

Elden St., 600 block, 8:03 p.m. June 17. A 26-year-old Reston woman was arrested in connection with concealment of merchandise.

Elden St., 1100 block, 11:34 a.m. June 12. Cash was stolen from a cash register at a business.

Elden St., 1100 block, 6:27 p.m. June 11. A 48-year-old Petersburg man was arrested in connection with grand larceny.

Elden St., 1100 block, 8:51 p.m. June 17. A carton of cigarettes and a six-pack of beer were stolen from a business.

Florida Ave., 400 block, 6:29 a.m. June 17. License plates were stolen from two vehicles. The vehicles’ tires were punctured, and the vehicles were damaged with graffiti.
